So, many of you have been asking, “What diet are you on?” So, I wanted to wait until I could blog about it to answer. The truth is…I am not on a diet. I bought a book called Trim Healthy Mama.
What I love is it is eating normal foods. It is easy and you are not depriving yourself of any food groups. you just learn to eat differently. Will you lose weight? Yes! That is a great added benefit but the cool part is you will have more energy, less bloating, little to no cravings (at least I don’t) and no desire to eat uncontrollably or mindlessly. I am full and satisfied without feeling deprived and anxious.
Now, I have tried lots of diets. I have been successful on them too. They have been great but I have always put the weight back on (eventually). This is not a quick fix weight loss tool. You will lose weight but you will do it slowly. The slow weight loss will actually allow you to maintain the loss. Yippee!
The foods are delicious because I am eating similar to my children. I am making the same food and altering it slightly for my needs. They tell you how to do that for the recipes. They also don’t leave you hanging after you have lost weight. They tell you how to still eat and maintain what you are doing. They also allow you to stop feeling guilty of food shaming yourself. I ate a Culver’s concrete mixer the other night and I didn’t even feel guilty. It wasn’t the best choice of foods but I just course corrected at my next meal. I wouldn’t suggest you all go out and eat ice cream, I am merely saying that I am done giving food so much power and control over my life. I should be able to eat and enjoy it. This is what this book is helping me to do.
Let me just share some of the yummy foods I have been eating: cheeseburger pie, pizza, black bean brownies, fudge, BLT salad, chicken with cream cheese and salsa and so much more.
Anyway, if you have to lose a few pounds why not do it in a way that is easy, yummy and good for you?
Not to mention…these sisters are hilarious. I love just reading their thoughts and ideas. Try it out. You might like it!
