healthy living mama

June 6, 2018 by Cayce Leave a Comment

Okay, lets be real this is how the change in eating has gone.

I lost 10 lbs! Gained 4lbs! Lost 5lbs! Gained 2lbs! Lost 3lbs! All in a month. I am obviously capable of losing weight as I continually prove. 🙂

I love this program. it is a perfect fit for me. I can tell it works but I am still learning balance. It is so hard.

My starting weight is a whopping 224lbs. I am solidly at 214lbs. I can’t believe I am doing this but…. this is where I am starting from. https://share.coach.teambeachbody.com/?lang=en-US&postId=865621&coachId=1656036

Click on the link above for more information.

I am a work in progress. I am going to be my best self. I am becoming more mindful. I am making choices instead of allowing food to choose for me.

There is still time to join me. Every day is a chance to improve yourself. Whatever that journey entails for you.

I am actually on a bigger journey than my weight. I am on a journey of self discovery, of financial peace and health.

What journey are you on? Or which one would you like to be on? I will go with you through it.

Start today! It is never too late.

Results of one week mindset change

May 15, 2018 by Cayce Leave a Comment

Well friends, I have lost 7.5 lbs this week! I am so proud of myself.

I really have still eaten most of what I want. I have maintained a positive outlook on food and I have wondered why I am “craving” certain foods.

I have realized I have a really hard time when food is free. I really want food because it is free and I may not have the chance to get that particular thing again.

It has been a really eye opening experience for me to reflect on what I think food does for me. I only have a few spots left for my challenge group if you want to start, let me know.

NO FOOD GROUPS ARE ELIMINATED! I had a yummy hot fudge sundae last night. While I don’t eat like that EVERY day. I felt that treat was really awesome!!

Mindset change for Food

May 12, 2018 by Cayce Leave a Comment

Hey there! I’ve attached an informational video on the weight loss program. Depending on which package you choose it is $99 – $160 for the lifetime subscription. I have created a private group for ONLY those doing the program where we can share our progress, struggles and successes. It was created by, and will be overseen by a licensed dietician nutritionist and targets those who have had trouble losing weight in the past or and/or are unable to exercise. 🙂 Let me know once you’ve watched it and any questions you have!

Plexus has been good to me. I am not about to promote some lose weight quickly scheme. As a matter of fact, I have lost a couple of pounds but not a dramatic loss.

It has made me fell more energetic even when I have only gotten a few hours of sleep. I have felt more calm. All of my sugar cravings have all but gone away. I have not had a desire to have a soda since I started drinking Plexus and my water intake has easily doubled.

Because it is back to school time, I have slacked off on my new exercise habit and my eating has been not as healthy (the school has bought our lunch this week). However, I don’t eat as much and the desire to have sugar or carbs has gone away.

I never thought I would tell you Plexus is amazing but that is what I am doing. I am not trying to sell you something. I am trying to inform you of how wonderful I feel inside and out.

Go to my website and check it out.  http://shopmyplexus.com/caycethill

Just a FYI: it is cheaper to become an ambassador and buy the welcome kit. You won’t be pressured to sell…just experience the good health.

Bottoms up!

Day 1 and 2 Plexus

August 2, 2017 by Cayce Leave a Comment

So, I am just letting you know I have taken Plexus for 2 days now. It has been great so far. I have felt a lot more energetic and happy.

My kids have really stretched my patience and things haven’t gone perfectly but overall, I would say my general disposition is calm.

I have used the bathroom a bit more. (TMI, I am sure but hey honesty is important)

Now, the true devotee will not be too concerned with the financial aspect. I am a bit concerned with the pricing. That has always been my biggest argument for not buying it earlier. I have friends that have been selling and telling me about it for years. (I couldn’t chose who to buy from so I went with a stranger…bad friend alert. 🙁 )

I have been a seeker of weight loss for years. I have been on LA Weightless, Weight watchers, beach body, Medifast, HCG I am sure there are a few more in there. They have all worked really well for me. I am a believer in whatever you follow through with will work for you.

I have always been most concerned with losing weight.

Now, I am most concerned with good health and longevity in my weight loss. I want to change my outlook on exercise and food. This is why I chose Plexus.

Keep in mind, as I post about this, I have been running 3 times a week for 30 minutes using the C25K app. I am on my 3rd week. I have also incorporated eating berries and cheese for breakfast. I am really trying to take this slow and steady.

I found that it was cheaper (when buying Plexus) to become an ambassador. It is $34.95 a year to receive the wholesale price. You save on average (wholesale) about $10 per product. You also receive a one time welcome kit for $99 with 3 (yes, I said 3) products. In that one order, you already make back your $34.95. So, anyway if you are interested in checking this product out…here is my website link http://shopmyplexus.com/caycethill

Let me know what you think.

Here we go…

July 29, 2017 by Cayce Leave a Comment

I just posted my current photos on my Facebook group. Wow! That was hard.

I actually started in June by stopping soda. I have since picked up my bad habit again but I am stopping it as well.

Then, I started running. the first week it was intervals of 2 minutes walking 60 seconds running. Week 2 was 90 seconds running. week 3 is jog for 90 sec walk for 90 sec jog for 3 min walk for 3 min two repetitions.  (a bit nervous about it).

I am going to try and incorporate some small steps to help me reach my goal.

I sure hope you can join me on my journey. But first, I hope you will find the strength to get up, get moving and set your own goals.

Post your picture(if you are comfortable with that) and your goals. 🙂

I really believe together we are stronger.

I have made a big mistake…

July 22, 2017 by Cayce Leave a Comment

I know, “what a surprise!” Right? Wrong!

I make way too many mistakes. However, I am going to own up to this one right now.

Okay, we have all seen the pictures. the fat shaming, the “no excuses”, the “what is your excuse”, the thin shaming etc..

I have been guilty of all of them. I am jealous of thin people and it makes me believe that I am not as good as they are. I also feel like it is easier for some people to be more fit and thin than others.

For the other, I have made my excuses.

  1. I have 20 kids
  2. They have so many issues (my kids)
  3. Some days, I feel like I can barely keep my head above water
  4. I am older
  5. After the day I have had, I deserve a special treat.
  6. No one understands the pressure of a large family
  7. Not to mention the secondary trauma I have endured
  8. After teaching kindergarten all day, then coming home to my other full time job. I deserve a break/rest/netflix binge.
  9. It has never been easy for me
  10. There will be time to get healthy later
  11. well, you can imagine the rest….

So, the thought occurred to me (on more than one occasion) that women who are healthy and fit work their tails off to be so. They eat healthy most of the time. They exercise. they work on their spiritual side. They realize they are worth the time and effort needed to be healthy.

So last week, I started again. I ran 3 times this week. I made my excuses then I made up my mind. I am worth it. I feel better. It really doesn’t take that long.

If I want a healthy body, I have to work for it. Just because someone is thin it doesn’t equate to happy or healthy.

I need to be the best me I can be and exercise is going to get me there.

So, I am sorry to all of you for judging or criticizing (in my mind) the hard work and effort you have expended to be healthy.

I am going to work on my body at the same time I work on my brain.

So Monday morning, I will be tying my running shoes and putting in my headphones as I continue to show up and do the work.

PS I was completely mortified by this picture I took last night. This is my husband John in the purple, then  Marissa(Former Miss Utah) and Kyle Van Noy(New England Patriots Super Bowl Champion and former BYU Cougar) and me.

I had no idea I had gotten so big. I thought I looked okay last night. So folks, this is what I am working with.

All I see is a super wide girl and I was pretty embarrassed to take a picture with this cute group. So, I am continuing to be done with soda and I am going to stop enjoying the treats that come with so many excuses. 🙂

What is your story?

No soda? are you crazy?

June 10, 2017 by Cayce Leave a Comment

These were my words a few short months ago. I love soda. It tastes good and has a little added benefit of a caffeine boost. Yum!

Let me just start by saying I started drinking caffeine about 1.5 years ago when I started working nights. I worked from about 4-1030 or 2-11pm. It was hard to do that and then get up at 530am and be mom all day. So, I started drinking caffeine.

I have had the hardest time giving up soda. I have been so incredibly reluctant.

Well, I have a friend who also shares my love for soda and we decided to cold turkey it together.

I started last Sunday and he started  Tuesday morning. I am not gonna lie. Monday was hard. I was jittery, I had random sharp pains in my head and it was so hard to sit through my meetings.

Well, I haven’t lost any weight on a scale but my bloating is significantly reduced. I also noticed my craving for sugar is decreasing. I never even linked soda to a sugar craving. It is not that I don’t want anything sweet like candy but, it is definitely reduced.

I am now drinking 72 oz of water consistently. I also am CRAVING water. I love it. It is so refreshing. It is so satisfying. It fills me up, quenches my thirst and yum!

So, after one week, I am getting my own natural energy back. I am feeling great too.

This week, I am focusing on working out every. single. day. I use the workout 21 day fix. After 21 days, I restart it and continue it. I mean, how can I resist a wonderful whole body 30 minute workout?

Week by week, I will do things that will make me happier and healthier. I am doing my best NOT to weigh myself (I tend to obsess over that a bit). Instead, my focus is doing small consistent things to make me healthy.

So there you have it…want to join me in my challenge? Follow along on my Facebook page thilltribe-the grass isn’t greener or on here. Every Saturday, I will post what I am adding to my healthier lifestyle or if I need to try harder on the same one.

I am not comparing myself to anyone but me. Let’s take a journey together…

Never Give Up

June 11, 2016 by Cayce Leave a Comment

So I got two new shirts for working out.

I love them so much! One says “Never give up!” The other says,” My curves are earned as my weakness is shed”

I love seeing motivational things on shirts. Or quotes around my room because they help to keep me focused.
What do you do to help keep you focused on a goal?

21 day fix

June 11, 2016 by Cayce Leave a Comment

Back on the 21 day fix. It has been 2 weeks. You may be thinking, “How much weight has she lost?” The fact is I have lost a few pounds.
The more important fact is “I feel great about myself.” I love how I feel and how my body is becoming toned.
I love feeling stronger.
I love being able to love me!
There are so many important things to note about working out.
We are calling them Non scale victories. I feel better. I am happier. I have more energy. I am stronger. I am more confident.

Come on…you can do it! Tell me some of your NSV.
